Life at uni…..

What is a uni Christian group? Isn’t uni for studying?
and other FAQs you’re dying to find answers for

So. Year 12 is over. Congrats! What now?

If you’re heading to uni (or applying to do so), there’s one important thing to do that you won’t hear everywhere:

Join the Christian group on campus!

What is a uni Christian group?

If you’re heading to uni then being part of a Christian group is an essential part of the uni experience. Campus Christian groups are student-led groups that provide a Chrsitian community on campus. Through regular time spent in the Bible and meeting together in Christian fellowship these groups:

-train and encourage students to evangelise others at uni

-encourage Christians to grow in their faith

-train Christians in Christian doctrine & leadership and

-send Christians into the world as servants of Jesus.

I thought uni was for getting a degree. Why would I join a Christian group?

Being a uni student exposes you to a host of new ideas, new people and new beginnings. It is a time when you are trying to sort out some of the bigger questions in life; who am I? what will I do with my life? what’s my place in this world? As such, uni is a great time to try and seek satisfactory answers to these questions.

Being part of a Christian group on campus will help you understand the world from a Christian worldview.

If you are a Christian then being at uni will be a great time for you to meet other Christians on your campus, grow in your Christian understanding, be trained and equipped to serve God’s church and consider how to best follow Jesus for all your life.

If you re not a Christian, then being part of a Christian group will enable you to meet others on campus and consider the claims of Jesus on your life as an adult. Why not use your time on campus to consider the Bible’s answer to some of life big questions?

“I wanted to grow in my faith at uni.”

— Lydia (sydneyunieu, Sydney University)

“It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”
