Opportunity to visit schools

In 2025 we are giving Year 12 students at schools in Greater Sydney the opportunity to hear about life after school and the opportunity to connect with an AFES group next year when they arrive at uni.

Are you a teacher in a school?

Every year our AFES campus groups in Greater Sydney receive about 1,000 newcomers - some keen to check out Jesus for the first time and many who are Christians looking for Christian community on-campus.

We would love to try and find a time for some current uni students from our AFES groups to speak with your Year 12 students about life after school and give them an opportunity to connect with a Christian group on-campus.

Such a visit could take the form of a 10min opportunity in a Year 12 assembly, or a before school gathering with just Year 12 students. Or it may be 15mins during a lunchtime CRU meeting, or a 45min Christian studies class. We would love you to suggest dates, times and opportunities that work for you and your Year 12’s.

Where possible we would love to send ex-students from your school to undertake the visit.

Are you a current student wanting to visit a school?

If you are part of an AFES group on-campus and would love to visit a school - please register your interest below. Once you have registered the process to visit a school will be as follows:
1. You will be added to a WhatsApp group where possible visits will be posted.
2. You will need to attend a 45min online zoom training course which will outline your responsibilities and the content of the visit.
3. You will need to have a valid WWCC (volunteer) and provide this information to the school you visit.
4. Once you have been allocated a visit you will then liase with the contact at the school (in the WhatsApp group)
5. You will be provided with all the necessary visit content (including slides, handouts, etc)
6. Once the visit is completed you will be sent a discount voucher for NTE2025 (limit 2 per person and 2 per school).
